"What you see through the telescopes is insane." She did this last time at Joshua Tree and says with 11 of us it could be really worth it. Not exactly cheap, but unforgettable.

Massive boulder fields perfect for scrambling and adventure. The skull-shaped rock formation is iconic. Great for wildflowers in spring — and that's exactly when we'll be there!
Wander through boulder fields and Joshua Trees to a dam built by cattle ranchers in the 1900s. Native American petroglyphs along the way. Allow about 1 hour.
A short boardwalk through a dense garden of "jumping" cholla cacti that glow golden at sunset. Quick, easy, magical. Don't touch the cactus! (They literally jump onto you.)
For the adventurous crew — climb to 5,456 feet for the most breathtaking 360° panorama in the park. Best at sunrise or sunset. The reward at the top is unreal.
A true desert oasis — hike over a ridge and descend into a hidden canyon with real palm trees and a spring. Feels like discovering a secret world.
A mysterious enclosed valley surrounded by massive boulders, once used by cattle rustlers to hide stolen herds. Kids love exploring the "secret" valley.
